Esta \u00e9 a primeira vez que uma tese defendida no PPG da Estat\u00edstica recebe este pr\u00eamio.<\/p>\n<p>A tese de Guilherme, titulada \u201cChallenges in modeling count<em>\u00a0data: Bayesian models for correction of underreporting bias and estimation of mortality schedules<\/em>\u201c, defendida em novembro de 2020, foi orientada pelos professores Rosangela H. Loschi e Ranato M. Assun\u00e7\u00e3o. Esta tese aborda dois problemas relevantes e desafiadores em Estat\u00edstica: a modelagem de dados de contagem subregistrados ou subnotificados e a estima\u00e7\u00e3o de curvas de mortalidade para regi\u00f5es sub-nacionais, com pequenas popula\u00e7\u00f5es.<\/p>\n<p>A UFMG tem 12 trabalhos\u00a0 premiados \u00a0(5 pr\u00eamios e 7 men\u00e7\u00f5es honrosas) nesta edi\u00e7\u00e3o e estamos muito feliz que um deles seja um trabalho de nosso programa. Guilheme foi convidado por Michele Guindani,\u00a0 editor do Bayesian Analysis, a compor a Se\u00e7\u00e3o Convida\u00a0<em>\u201cHighlights in Bayesian Analysis: Advances in Applications\u201d<\/em>, composta por trabalhos aceitos ou recentemente publicados em tal peri\u00f3dico.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Aluno: Guilherme Lopes de Oliveira.
