Biography

Fábio is currently an Associated Professor at the Department of Statistics of Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). His main area of research is the semiparametric modeling of survival data. He also has experience with regression models, design of experiments, spatial statistics, and the development of R packages.

In 2003 Fábio received his B.Sc. degree in Statistics from FCT-Unesp, and his Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Statistics from UFMG in 2006 and 2010, respectively. During his doctoral study, he obtained a sandwich internship at the University of Connecticut.
